Experimental Surgery Approved For Cancer Patient

Investigative reporter Marty Griffin from Pittsburgh’s KDKA reports in this video concerning the decision by HealthAmerica to approve a stem cell transplant for a cancer patient after multiple appeals. The procedure can run hundreds of thousands of dollars and was (and may still be) considered experimental.



Recent Addition Comment: At some point, the PR benefits will certainly outweigh the out of pocket expenses when an insurance company is involved in what becomes a high profile case.
